The iPhone has come with a huge number of innovations, though it is in terms of software that it truly wins out. There have been attempts through consumer technology history to load a large processor or the top end of technology into a device and hope to see it triumph. Apple is the opposite of this, there is no doubt it does keep in touch in power terms, however it is the company’s ability to give more than simple hardware upgrades that makes them so popular.

Voice control really breaks down the boundaries between computers and humans leaving only a tiny gap in between. Siri can even learn from your commands offering a little chunk of AI in your pocket. The technology is not quite at the stage where you can have a full on conversation, but it shows the way things are going and is extremely practical in the way it works.

The iCloud service also has such an orientation at its heart. Instead of having to undergo a long and tech heavy process of uploading all your songs Apple just takes all your iTunes IDs and then allows you to use your music on the go without any hassle. You just sync your computer and your phone and there you go, endless music on your device.
